Miss Phoebe was adopted on May 1st from a wonderful organization
called
FOCAS (friends
of county animal shelters). They save a lot of dogs from
the perils of the "pound" and give them the time to socialize, heal
and become adoptable pets to be loved their whole lifelong. Phoebe's mother
was a chihuahua who gave birth in the shelter. The father is an unknown but
thought to be a terrier. The babies were nursed and then fostered to be adopted
to appropriate candidates (and thankfully I was one of those individuals).
Miss
Phoebe LaRue, smart as a button, protective and walks at my side. Such
a charm and pleasure to have her in my life!
